Biography
Life is funny, laugh hard is a philosophy that A.J. lives by. Growing up in in a Christian home with a southern mother proved to provide lots of material for comedy. “Even though I wasn’t really permitted to perform at the dinner table, I still managed to crack a few jokes here and there, some of them got me sent to my room”. After evolving as an adult and realizing that it was not taboo to talk about real life, her act took on a life of it’s own. “Real life is funny, and provides me with a constant source of material”.
Although some of her material is told from a woman’s point of view it is enjoyed by both sexes. “The women can totally relate, and the men are like…Yeah, I tried that”. So it tickles the funny bone for all.
AJ is a stage and screen actress as well as a stand up comic and has performed all over the valley as well as in Las Vegas in various clubs, civic and corporate venues. When asked why she enjoys stand up comedy most she says “I consider it an accomplishment when I can make people laugh, bonus points if their drink comes out their nose! I just like to make people feel good and forget about their problems for a while.”
